Manifest Destiny diplomacy annex converts In class we analyzed these political cartoons. In general when looking at political cartoons there is symbolism and a message or criticism. Next on page 53 in your notes you are going to create 2 political cartoons of your own. The first cartoon should be based on a topic covered in chapter 12. Make sure you use symbols where appropriate and include some opinion or message.
Next on the bottom half of the page draw a political cartoon that represents any current issue happening in the world today or recently. Define:

Set up a t-chart on page 49 of your spiral. The left side column is where you will record events that transpire in the video that do not seem legal or normal while you are watching the video. The right side column is where you will write which specific right from the Bill of Rights was violated in that event. Example: Event: When women were forced to wear uniforms Specific Right Violated: Freedom of Speech Using the work sheet try to unscramble the list of rights and put them with the correct amendment number. Challenge yourself! Do as much as you can without notes or the text and then when you get stuck you can use resources. For this activity you will need to borrow the "We the People" text.
